Camp as Christmas - Out of The Wardrobe Seasonal Special ft Jen Brister & Friends

Chuckle Busters and Morgan Rees present Camp as Christmas, a seasonal special of Out of The Wardrobe - the LGBTQ+ showcase night that  features a handpicked selection of the best queer comedians on the UK circuit.

JEN BRISTER

Our extra special festive headliner is Jen Brister!

Jen has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, QI and Mock the Week, as well as performing seven critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her comedy memoir The Other Mother was published by Square Peg in 2019.

"Her energy is explosive. Her use of space and delivery mesmerising" The Sunday Times

"Furiously funny" The Guardian

DEE ALLUM

Dee started her comedy career performing sketches with the Cambridge Footlights and wrote the prestigious Footlights Pantomime in 2018.

Dee has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards, placed as runner up in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year award 2021, won the 2Northdown New Act Competition 2021 and was a finalist in the 2022 BBC New Comedy Award competition.

“An inventive, casually ironic storytelling skill…a true stand-up” ★★★★ The Times

MORGAN REES

Your MC for the evening is the one and only Morgan Rees!

Morgan's densely packed arsenal of impressive one-liners and hilarious short stories have seen him make appearances on The Apprentice: You're Fired and take a critically acclaimed tour around the UK - including a sold out show at Bristol Old Vic.

"A fine storyteller... with tremendous heart and warmth" ★★★★ The Scotsman

SHARON WANJOHI

Sharon Wanjohi is an up and coming stand up comedian with a varied act ranging from shock to absurd comedy. A Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist and Funny Women Stage Award Finalist, she talks (maybe too much) about children's films and the cartoon dilfs that inspired a generation of sexual awakenings. And she thinks Ratatouille is a commentary on race.

"A spark in her performance…….. memorable zingers, she’s witty and engaging company" Chortle
